How is Steve Rogers like the biggest rebel and the baddest bitch who fucks the system continuously but also the most righteous and honourable man who ever lived hOW

Maybe we’ve been tricked into believing that righteous and honorable means following the rules, when it really means following a moral compass for the betterment of others regardless of the rules.  And Steve Rogers exemplifies that.

Amen to that

Steve Rogers is proof that Lawful Good isn’t the best or only Good.

When I was a kid, American media was all about heroic rebellion.

After September 2001 the stories turned right around into authoritarianism and war crime apologism.

This has been an observation from a 36 year old Englishman.

Seconded by a thirty-one-year-old Canadian; American culture took a dramatic swerve after 9/11 and I don’t think it’s fully recovered.
