My family was talking about serial killers, and my dad said something like “Everyone says he’s so smart but he tested an IQ of only 140. That’s not that high.” I had to explain that such a result is in the very superior range (nearing on “genius”) and that’s on the way high end of the bell curve, along with the fact that IQ doesn’t indicate all types of intelligence. Or, like, a whole lot.
But tell that to a Mensa member whose daughter has a higher education level than he does.
